Lowering footpegs

I live on a gravel road kept very loose by hordes of four-wheelers. I ride a 1995 VFR. It is fairly scary riding down hill on this road. I installed Gen-Mar handlebar risers yesterday which did help. I would like to lower the footpegs. Does anyone sell lowering kits for this bike? If not, I'll try to cobble up something. thanks ... Steve

Hello,
I dont think that is a good idea...the pegs will stick in the ground on a hard turn...What you may try is get thicker seat cushion ;D

What he say. Sounds like it's time for a change of address or bike. Get one of those big bore dual sports and put the wood to those four wheel infidels...
I may never part with my '98 800 but I happen to
know it ain't the hot setup for loose stuff.

Re: Lowering footpegs

I hear you. In a weak moment I sold my Yamaha TDM 850. It was great on gravel roads and highway. I'm 5'-9'' and the 650 KLRs, etc are a little tall for me.

Re: Lowering footpegs

Pegs from a Buell XB-12 or XB-9 will work with a bit of modification on a 2002+. I don't know about earlier bikes though.
