Chain Snapped - How bad is it?

Alright, so I took a ride up to and around PA near the poconos this weekend after finally getting the bike running well. After nearly 400 miles I'm on the road about to pull into my neighborhood and blam! my chain snaps. Did a bit of damage too. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with how bad the damage is.

This first picture is the pieces of the cover over the front sprocket that is shattered. There are a few of these on ebay, don't think this is much of a problem

Here's just a general view of the damage on the bike. You can see where the pieces above broke off from the piece the slave cylinder is bolted to.

This is where I start to get worried. If you look at the back of the upper bolt, it's bent pretty good. I haven't tried to extract it yet, so the threads may or may not be toast. Below it to the left is the clutch lifter rod, which is also bent, and I believe where the oil was leaking out.

Anyone have any opinions on how bad this is? If I get a new cover, clutch rod and chain will it be ok? Thanks for any feedback.

PS: Anyone have any chain (i.e. manufacturer) recommendations?

Tsubaki o mega chain, & pbi or sunstar sprocket (it looks like the front sprocket is hooked REALLY bad). Hope this info gives you a good starting point.

might not be fixable if some mounting points are damaged ....unless welding and tapping are done, sorry.

I guess I should have done this in the first place, but upon further inspection it looks like it'll be ok. I need a new (straight) clutch rod, and the oil seal that it goes through. Already bought a new sprocket cover on ebay, and will be buying new chain and sprockets shortly, which I needed to do anyway.

My question now is does anyone know how to get that oil seal out/get a new one in? I'm not sure if it will fit out the left side, and I don't especially want to take all the clutch parts out if I don't have to.

I learned the hard way so anyone else out there who's not sure: if you think you need a new chain, go for a new chain.

Thanks Mason, but this looks like an instance where the Magna is different (read: easier). That bike has the full circular opening on the left side to just pull out the seal. My bike only has a sort of block 'C' shaped opening, so I'm not sure it will come out the same way.

Looks like yours was designed to pull it out from the left side by turning the seal sideways and pulling it out. Worth a shot...

Has anyone ever replaced this seal? I guess I'm going to try the "keyhole" method from mason's link unless someone has a stroke of genius.
