Tool Kit Hold down strap.

Sorry, not sure where to put this one I figured this would be as good as any place.

Anywho, my 98 does not have the strap that holds the tool kit into the under seat area. I can see that there is a little hook on the right side, but dont see a place on the left side for it to go?

Do these break often?

Is there a good solution to holding the stuff in place?

Does anyone have a picture of what its supposed to look like?

Ive been thinking about this for a few weeks & cant come up with a nice solution to this. Im sure I could just tie it in or something but that would be pretty crummy lookin'

thanks
Bob

It's a rubber band.

There is a hook on the left side too, but best seen with the tail section removed, or at least from underneath . I don't like to put my head next to the sproket though... greasy!

The band on my '99 was broken this year. Rubber just gets old.

If I go to the Honda shop, I'll try to purchase the replacement.
Until then, I just tied the broken band with string to restore the tool kit hold down function.

All is well
