Hi guys,

Does anybody know if it is posible to reset digital speedometer on 6th generation VFR from miles to km?

You would think the should be a way but I can't find it.

Thanks in advance

Not sure of that. I am sure there is something out there where you can switch over though.

You leaving us Yanks and becoming a Canuck?

Mine ('04) does it for the speedometer; not sure if it converts the miles to km's on the odometer. Check the owner's manual. It's a combination of the select and reset buttons.

The 6th Gens sold in Canada anyways, do a complete conversion from metrics to imperial measurements across the board with the push of a couple buttons on your instrument cluster. It is extremely easy to do and is explained in your manual. If you don't have one, send me a PM and I will pull mine out and quote it for you. But you gotta learn to say "Eh" the right way first or it simply will not work for you.

Push and hold the button on the left (I believe it's the select button) under the temp display for 5-8 seconds. The speedo, odo, and trip odo will switch over.

You have to turn the key to ON, of course.

Sorry for confusion guys, I just fixed my profile info. I've learn to say Eh a long time ago.

I just imported the bike and need to do this federal inspection. One of the things it requires is KM on speedometer.

Also I didn't get manual with her:(

Can anybody tell me what manual says about this?

julianivfr - I'll try it this way when I get home.

Hey, you're in my neck of the woods. Awesome!!

Switching it over to km is not necessarily a big deal. I went through the whole process a little while ago. If you've already requested for, and paid for the RIV inspection form, most Canadian Tire locations will do the inspection. All they need is to check that the lights and instruments work, there are reflectors, the tires are good. I forgot to switch mine over, and it passed just fine. Hopefully, your recall should have been done.

You'll need to do an out of province as well. The dealerships here are not enamored by bikes bought in the US, and will want to charge you $300. I found a place out in the country that'll do it for $150.

PM me and let's get together for a ride soon. We can take the opportunity to get your OOP while we're at it.
