BARO sensor
I am getting ready to replace the BARO sensor but do not even know what the damn thing is or does.
 Anyone know?

Barometer sensor. It measures the atmospheric pressure so that the fuel injection system can deliver the right amount of fuel. That's the main reason why it can run from sea level up to 10,000 feet above sea level with no rejetting like with carbs.

What makes you think that the BARO sensor is at fault? Because of your fault code?

Yeah, all I get is a repeated one long flash when I retrieved the codes which should be a code 10. According to my shop manual it points to the BARO sensor. I have been thinking about clearing out the codes and waiting to see if it happens again but was not sure of any damages that might occur.

Well, if it were my bike....I would clear the codes, and take it for a fairly long ride (not into the next state or anything) getting it good and hot, and see if you can duplicate the issue. If you cannot, I would ride it and be happy....of course, that is what I would do.
