    new rubber

My bike has stock rims and the tires are Battlax's. They are 10 years old and quite worn. I'm looking at gettting some Avon Azaro's but the sizes are not exactly the same.

Are bike tires similar to car tires in that as long as the rim size (ex: 17") is correct the width and height can vary within limits?

    thanks
    vic

    yikes

10 year old tires!!! Replace these ASAP. You are risking your life by riding on tires of this age. FWIW, I have Michelin Pilot Roads on my fifth gen, and I love them.

your gona want a 120/70-17 for the front, and either a 180/55-17 or 170/60-17 for the rear.

i wouldnt even want to push the bike around in the driveway with 10 year old tires.
