Lowering Kit

Hey guys, I am looking to purchase a lowering link only; I'm a little on the short side. Do you know where I can get one pretty cheap?

I just installed the link and sidestand from Sigma Cycle. It works great but is a little spendy at $275. It lowered the bike about an inch. The only downside is that it's a little harder to get on the center stand.

Some people have just rotated the stock triangle in the linkage to get about 1/2". It's a simple mod and is free. You just need to be careful about the bike on the sidestand as it will be a little more vertical when on the stand.

The triangle rotation is the cheapest/quickest way to lower the bike.

Oh, and don't forget to lower the front to compensate. Slide the fork tubes up through the triple clamps to keep the front/rear balance the same.

Watch your cornering clearance, and you might want to buy a used sidestand off EBAY and modify it by cutting/welding it shorter.

I haven't yet installed the Sigma Cycle lowering kit, But I can say that they are A+++ #1 as far as I am concerned! The wonderful US Postage system "lost" my original order and delivered an empty box to me. (So helpful - they put a note with it that said - "lost in the mail") Ron at Sigma answered my inquiry immediately and was stellar in his follow up and follow through. If other cycle parts dealers were only half as responsive the world would be a better place! Can't wait to get the bike down so I can flat foot it and not blow out another hamstring! Ouch! Those things really hurt, and they make you fall over when it happens as you come to a stop on the bike!

I have a brand new Sigma Cycles Lower Link. I installed it and didn't like the way my bike looked when lowered so I went back to stock.

I'm willing to sell it if you are interested.
