oil leak after gasket change???

I had a oil leak coming from my rear valve cover so I replaced it with a new gasket but it still leaks. Honda dealer told me not to use gasket sealer and i know the gasket is in the right. Could it be something else like where the valve cover bolt tighten to could that be out of wack and not let the cover tighen down enough? I hate the fact that it leaks oil its not bad but only harleys should be leaking oil not a honda. If anybody has any advise on this please share it with me.

RESIST any temptation to over-tighten cover bolts; instead find some thin washers to place under the bolts to compensate for squashing of the original washers.....or buy new Honda washers.

Gasket sealer is OK to use there.
