Rear Rack: Rubber seals next to body

Has anyone had the problem of there being about a centimeter gap between the rubber seals and body after installing the Rear Rack when they have luggage already installed? It's like Honda designed it for either luggage or the Rear Rack, but not both. I appreciate the help.

PuCaudata knows all about the rubber next to the rear body ............im him or it not sure maybe it can hook you up with some different type of rubber fittings and body and rear assembly..but i know for sure when you get it fixed he would love to see a picture of your bag...............
