1) Don't bother as no company makes such a product.

2) Even if such a product was produced, no one would buy it.

3) It would ruin the handling of the bike.

4) It would look stupid.

unless you have a 4th gen, you're better off to stick with what you have. I myself think a set of Marchesini Y-shaped spoke wheels would be just sick, as in way cool.

I too drool over the OEM Ducati Monster S4RS wheels. About the only way I can think to make them work would be to machine a new axle to insert into the VFR swingarm. Sadly, this isn't too likely to happen & if it did, it would be just ridiculously expensive.

hello, just a Q what is the year of your vfr? If you got a 1998 this will help.look at the german streetfighter pages you will find your info and you can fit a 7,5 17inch et 35 car wheel on your bike with a 3 cm spacer with a 200 or a 210 tire.
I hope this will give you anough info for your need to make a nice bike.
At the moment i'm fitting a 8,0 18 inch et35 with a 240 tire on mine.
Kind regards Marcel from the Netherlands.

Hey Marcel,
I appreciate innovation as much as the next guy, but I think you've been spending too much time in those coffee shops...

The only aftermarket wheels I know of for the VFR are from Carrozzeria --

I believe that Kosman Enginering in SF will weld on a rim extension to make your stock rime any width that you want.
I have seen examples... yes there is a weld bead the full circumference, but it is fully functional and safe.

These are the only pics on their website of VFR's. Not too shabby looking. They list at $2450 for the front & rear. I wonder how what needs to be done to the swing arm to make them fit?

They were designed as a VFR specific kit. The rear hub gets replaced by one in the kit, so you gotta take it apart to put it together. Other than that its a trade the stock parts with the new. Some mechanical finesse is needed but shouldnt be too bad. No swingarm mods required. Wish I could justify the bucks right now.

ABS - the kit wasnt designed for ABS, but I would contact them to see if any more work in that area has been done to adapt it.

Oh yeah - they are light!

As a general rule, my wife DOES NOT interfere with my motorcycling affliction. This makes sense since she is a rider as well.

She WOULD interfere if I tried to spend $2500 for some wheels. I sincerely think she would WWE me if I bought these things.

I've seen these, I still need to ask if they'll fit a 4th gen. Could be a good second choice.

These are sweet!! The gold anodized ones would look awesome on my yellow '99 with the RC-51 forks!! Then I'd need radial Brembos with wave rotors, and of course Toro's super charger kit. Hmmm...... how much was that credit card limit again....??

personally it's way too much to get exotic wheels for a 4th gen...you could always try a 3rd gen(90-93)...with a little work a 5th gen(98-01)rear rim...the 4th gen uses a 5 inch wide rim....the 3rd and 5th use a 5.5 inch...u could safely get a 180/55 to fit...you will also have to raise the rear ride height to compensate for the lower profile tire....a 190 or 200 will need a 6 inch rim...which will likely rub....hope this helps
