Preparing to Install Moto Alarm

Howdy all!

I bought an alarm for my 2003 VFR for the purpose of the 2 keys that came with it. I was a fairly cheap alarm so I went ahead and bought it. Might as well try to install the alarm. It has a keyless ignition which most probably think is useless but I think it's pretty neat. Probably don't really need it but what they hey if I can get it to work.

I've attached the wiring diagram and my plans on how to hook the wires up. I've used the service manual for the bikes wiring diagram and the diagram from another site that is for European models... which are somewhat similer...

If you have any helpful comments, or constructive critisisms I'd be all ears for any help... or even non-producutive comments if you like.

I'll hook up the wires as such...

Alarm : Bike

Red Wire : Red wire coming from ignition
Brown Wire : Bu/O wire which should be the Fan wire from ignition
Pink : R/BL wire which should be the ignition wire going to the ignition
Grey : R/BL wire which should be the other half of the ignition wire going to the fusebox
Blue : Maybe the Yellow/Red wire at the start switch? Not quite sure about this one yet.
Yellow 1 : Left blinker wire (Positive)
Yellow 2 : Right blinker wire (Positive)
Black : Ground on the bike somewhere

Like I said, I used the wiring diagram from the service manual and the diagram for UK bikes which I found here:http://members.chello.nl/a.boven2/sc...800-a5-ABS.jpg

So far that’s how I imagined it going. I need to find out which wire is the hot wire for the blinkers. I was looking at it and didn’t realize the blinkers had 3 wires. My last two bikes just had two.

Again, if anybody has any helpful comments or constructive critisim I’d be happy to hear about them!

Thanks for the help!

Chad
