I second that. I have put 11,000 miles on my bike with the screen, including 6,000 touring, and I love.

I was considering a taller screen also however at 60+ mph, I really like how the wind on my chest makes it easy to keep the weight off my wrists. (FYI- I'm about 5'11') At slow speeds, I have to work a little harder to keep my posture correct.
I'm guessing the taller screens help keep a few bugs off the face shield. What other advantages do they offer? Less wind noise around your helmet? Less wind fatigue on long rides? I'm thinking bar risers might be more necessary? |

Here is a link to the thread I did a while back. It has some pictures to compare the stock one, to the ZG. I have about 2,500 miles with mine on, and still like it much better than the stock one.

I run both ZG touring and double bubble and find them not all that different. I'd say the ST gives slightly better protection to the head but at the price of slightly rougher air. I'm 5' 11" with helibars.
I recently took a rock to the ST which destroyed it. I cut it up and am planning to try my own version of a laminar lip. I just cant stop f-ing around.... Wesley J

ZG are good screens and lots of guys have'em. I am tall and wanted the wind off me. I bought the Puig racing screen (Double Bubble) and it does a nice job of keeping the wind off. It also makes the bike look good (I think).

Givi touring screen
Earlier this summer I tried a ZG touring screen, but I didn't care for how thin and flimsy it felt, and I really didn't like how it looked on my '07 VFR compared with the stock screen. (The ZG looked rather cheap, for lack of a more polite word.) As for wind, I wear a Shoei TZ-R full-face helmet, and I didn't notice much of an improvement, so I reinstalled the stock wind screen.
Very recently though, I purchased a Givi touring screen (dark smoke tint), and I'm very impressed. I've noticed a significant reduction in bug splatters on my helmet visor, along with substantially better airflow over my upper body. Moreover, the Givi screen exudes quality with its excellent design, construction, and fit, along with great looks. |
