anyone installed a 94-97 rear fender eliminator

I just bought a '97 vfr and it's missing the rear fender. i heard about those aftermarket fender eliminator kits. Has anyone used one of these?

I haven't, but mine is a 93 model. There are a few different manufactureres out there, competitionwerkes and Lockhart Phillips to name a couple. Ridegear.com, deniskirk.com, and bikebandit.com will probably have one that will fit your bike. You can even do a google search or go dierctly to competitonwerkes or Lockhart Phllips sites directly. Some of the fender eliminator kits have turn signals and some don't, so be sure to read the descriptions carefully.

I actually just got some aluminum, bent it to the angle that I was looking for, bolted it to where my fender would have been, and bolted my plate to that.

Nope, but if I were to need one I'd look on ebay, there's always a fender it seems on there in fact one caron fibre one just ended.
