Great thread guys. Have to tell you about a prank we pulled on a friend years ago. We took the mufflers off of an '86 VFR750F and left only the headers on.
This was inside my garage. Then we telephoned a friend and told him we had secretly been building a dragster. We put the phone close to the bike and redlined it about 5 times. The decible level almost blew out the garage windows! My wife called us a few choice names... For several months he really thought we had built a fuel/supercharged dragster. The sound was insane and intoxicating! Wish I had recorded it ;o) |

Hey all, thought I'd chime in with my thoughts.
Well, after listening to them all -again and again! - I agree with most everyone ...the Staintune and the D&D, sound about the baddest. The Micron and Leo rank high on my list if you don't want the loud until you get on em' exhausts. But if I had to make a choice today, I'd be chewin' between Staintune and D&D. That (Staintune) vid of the guy rolling down the street sounds pretty friggin kewl. Tough choice though. It'd be nice to hear both of em up close and personal ![]()

Just curious, does the Staintune on a gen6 sound this loud? I'm not sure I could live with this much attention.. I presume the clip posted here was without the baffles?

I have the Two Brothers Single Carbon on my 05 and I really like it. Mine is matched with a "fake" matching can (doubles as a really nice underseat lockable storage tube -- but looks just like a dual exhaust) and I really like the sound of it. It has a deep chesty sound and looks really nice, too. Check out my gallery pics.
I'd never thought of a sound byte... too late tonight, but maybe I'll get one posted tomorrow?

Good work!

Did you find any change in performance after adding these pipes?
Just curious...
