Exhaust sound clips

I have noticed and increase in the interest of how different exhausts sound, so I have some files that I will put here. If someone has sound files they would like to add, let me know and we will get it on here. :-) I think these were all done ona VFR 800, but I am not for sure. Clicking the link will take you to the sound clip. From their just click on the player to hear the clip. :-)

Does anybody else have a sound clip of the Leo Vince exhaust on an 02 or newer? The one on this thread is a little whimpy and I can't believe that the vfr would sound like that with aftermarket pipes.

Wow, that sucks! There is a Leo Vince system on E-bay I was checking out.
I want the Staintune sound but would prefer carbon fiber.

From the clip, it sounds like the Leo Vince is closer to stock in sound. However, keep in mind that the clip may not do the sound of the exhaust any justice and it may sound better in person. :-)

ferndog, have yo tried right-clicking on the file, and then "Save As"? Downloading to your PC might allow you to be able to hear the clip.

Vinny

Hey guys I have just installed the Leo Vince on my 05 VFR800 and the sound clip does NOT do the pipe any justice. I am guessing the sound clip is one with the removable baffle in the pipe to meet homologation laws in Europe.

The pipe with the removable baffle taken out is one of the most incredible sounds you will hear. I will try and get a recording and get it posted on the site, in the next few weeks. If you are thinking Leo Vince,do it you will not be disapointed.

Please more info. I'm very interested in the Leo's. I'm leaning towards Staintune but I really want carbon fiber and I've seen the Leo's on Ducati's and they look and sound great.

Can you give me the skinny on the pipes such as can measurements, price, shipping, and instillation. Any pics and I'm definitely waiting for your sound clip.

Okay...I hope this sounds better than the post from the other site. Quite honestly the sound through your computer speakers probably won't do the pipe alot of justice. If you have a decent set of PC speakers the clip may sound alright, I went through my lap top to the home theater, and....ah....I remembered why I love the VFR so much!!!

I didn't go nuts with the throttle, just brought up the RPM a little. The pipe in person, or on a good speaker system will sound ALOT better.
Leo Vince on a 2005 Honda VFR800

I purchased the pipe from Leo Vince USA and they were awsome to deal with. There are some good pictures of the pipe on the bike on their site.

The sound clip is without the baffle insets that go into the end of the can.

The inserts are bullit shaped, and are about 10" long, and fit quite snuggly inside the can, and are fastened with a screw, at the end of the can.

With the baffles in the pipe is no louder than OEM, and really don't sound any different than the OEM cans. I was told without baffles attachments, the pipe is 98db, and with the attachments inserted in the pipe, the noise level drops to 94db which is a pretty significant drop.

Hope this clarifys all the questions.

That worked. It sounds good too. I noticed what sounded a metal vibration or resonance, kind of like a pipe spring rattle. Was that just because of where you recoreded it or was something vibrating? Either way it still sounds good. Wish I had some good recording equipment to get a clip of my d & d's.

I've got the Carbon Fiber D&D on my 98 and it sounds pretty well unbelievable. It could only be better if it was a high mount.

Sounds good....Heard the rattling sound also, wondering what that is? For me I still like that distinctive small V8 sound of the Staintune without the baffle, but that's just my opinion . Do those Erion pipes come in titanium, carbon or stainless?

Looking at Exoticsportbike.com, it looks like they come in black aluminum and Ti. The Erion wesite, erionracing.com shows the same options.

He guys....took a closer look, looks like I didn't have one of the springs on properly, and it was hanging loose. The mysterious rattle is gone now. It is a good thing some of you were paying attention!

See if he has some sound clips he could give us so we can add them to our list so others can hear what Erion cans sound like.
