Custom PC map for 6th gen after headers & muffler upgrades

hi

Do you know where we could get a custom Power Commander map and list it at this site from someone who has added 5th gen headers (larger diameter & cat-less) & added a free-flowing muffler?

I have not been able to find such a holy grail at this site, VFR Discussion or Power Commander themselves. I find it hard to believe I'm the only one in this situation.

The brand of muffler, model yr (RPM activation point of VTEC), whether or not a K & N is being utilized, or if it has been de-PAIR'd & de-flapper'd are again minor variables IMO. As the PC site states, 100% optimization isn't always the goal. Perhaps 90% can be achieved while at the same time saving the hundreds of dollars it takes for a custom dyno session.

Thx

I'm still thinking I'm not the only one that has added 5th gen headers and an aftermarket exhaust to a 6th gen that would be interested in a custom dyno map. I'm also thinking that whoever has made the investment for such a map might want to share it for this community?

The cool thing about a Power Commander is it's flexiblitiy. You have a tremendous amount of leeway regardless of the installation. Just be sure that you tech knows what they're doing!

I've done the header swap and other mods as you have done. I use the Cozye map (M111-003-new5) and eveything runs fine with plenty of power everywhere.
Try a search on this site or VFRDiscussion to find the map.

I am going to do a custom map after I get all the mods done, just because. Even my RVF400 has giddy-up over my VFR. Mostly what I want is proper throttle response, but knowing you have the right map for the mods you have is a good way to ensure your protecting your investment. But untill I kill the CAT, I am going to be using a general map......
