I have eliminated the slack in the throttle cable, installed a PCIII, and 02 Eliminators on my 6 gen and am pleased with the overall throttle response. I blocked the Pair just to see if there would be any further improvements to be had, and rode it for around 50 miles. There was absolutely no noticeable change whatsoever.

Yes, you're right. The dyno operator should know to disable the pair valve prior to tuning; usually just by pinching the hose to the valve.

I blocked the pair valve today and took the bike for a ride, NO noticeable difference at all.
I have an 02 with no collector/ cat but 2/ 2" exhausts and straight through Staintunes. I read somewhere on a forum that your fuel consumption drops with no back pressure in the exhaust Don't know why I filled up today and it took 17.6 litres for 350 kls. that is 19.8 kls to the litre or roughtly, 56 m.p.g. (UK Gallons here in Aussie) 47 m.p.g. US gallons. These were easy klicks, no more than 110 kph and a bit of two up. I live 9kls from the big smoke all flat roads and mostly straight with restricted speed limits. I wouldn't think these bikes would get any better fuel consumption than that with standard exhaust. I purchased this bike only a few months ago. My other bike a totally stock VFR750 gen 3 gets between 14 to 17.6kls per litre. |
