Save your $ on aftermarket exhaust
Hey Guys,
This weekend I was bored and felt like tinkering with my bike trying to figure out how I could make my bike breathe and sound better. I started disassembling the exhaust from the frame and cat. I took off all the chrome pieces and looked over the exhaust to see where I could drill and cut into it with out destroying it. I saw my mark at the exit of the exhaust. They almost give you an ouline of where to cut along the weld. I fired up my compressor got my air cutter and started cutting into the exaust right next to the weld. About 15 mins later it the exhuast was wide open. I left the two exhuast ports on each side and reattached the caps, chrome, and mounted it back up. I was so excited on starting my bike up. I was relieved when I heard that raw V4 growl. It is the perfect project for those D.I.Yers. It sounds alot louder than stock but not overpowering. |

Can you give more detail and pictures of what you did? Once you cut the exhaust, how did you reassemble things? I love the look of the stock exhaust and would love to be able to modify that to make the bike breathe easier as opposed to going aftermarket.

Yes I can get some pictures of what work I performed. It is really easy but visual reference is always helpful.
