I just purchased a well maintained and well farkled '02 Silver VFR 800A a few weeks ago. Kind of hard to tell that it has 35,000mi on the clock. Probably more like 31,000 with the ambitious speedo/odo. It's been a blast so far.


It came with the following:

Factory hard bags
MRA smoke touring windshield
Pro-Oiler
PAIR Mod
PO built a new electrical harness w/ larger gauge wiring & new regulator
Heated Grips
Gerbing Plug under seat
Accessory power plug
Heli-Bars

I also added a vortex gas cap, Buell Ulysses rider pegs, and will install ASV unbreakable levers next week. The Buell pegs make a huge difference in comfort. I've obsessed over owning one for the past year until I traded my supermoto'd DR650 for this bike.

It runs like a scalded cat, but I'm still trying to get it to wheelie my 260lb fat @ss.

Glad to have ya! Wherebouts you hang your hat? Sounds like your new baby girl is already all gussed up and ready for the prom....just make sure to get a few drinks in her before you toss off the prom dress!



BTW....I would not advise a shorty ASV lever for the clutch side for anybody with normal size hands...IMO. It is pretty short, and your hand will be cramped. Just my two cents.

I'm in the NW Chicago suburbs. Riding here sucks as there are very few curves in the road. Need a ride up to Wisconsin for the twisties.

I had Pazzo shorties on my FZ1 and they were a big improvement. I have quite a reach with the stock clutch, so I won't mind the quick grab for the clutch. My left hand gets cramped after long rides.

I have Pazzo shorties currently. I was referring to the "length" of the lever. The ASV must be around .75 of an inch or more shorter than the Pazzo. My friend has them, and it is too short for him (and he has small hands) but he learned to live with them. He is the reason that I got Pazzo shorties (and less cost). Love the look of the ASV though. To each his own though. You might love them.
