pics from my trip i just took.. lots of pics

well 6 states and 2200 miles later im back home.

ill put the pictures up in the order we went and tell a little about each place.

first off.. we started in royal front VA to start Skyline Dr.
this is a beautiful road, great overlooks, well maintained. bad thing.. 35 mph
got pulled over for 49 in a 35, but got off with a warning..
we almost hit a deer, and a black bear. it was very interesting seeing the black bear. but kind of scary having it run out in front of you when your doing 50mph + on a windy road.

anyway here are some pics..

ok next stop is
Ocean Isle Beach, NC
this place is simply amazing.
gorgeous beaches, very low key, and very clean.
not crowded at all which is exactly what we wanted.
and our hotel was not to pricey for what you get.
we stayed a few nights here.

here are a few of blue ridge parkway on the south end

and this is where we stayed in NC near Deals Gap, the Iron Horse Inn
now this place is a MUST to anyone visiting deals gap. its strictly motorcycles. and everyone is so nice there. everyone who stayed there was very talkative and jsut wanted top chat it up. its like a bikers heaven, and a great place to bond with fellow riders.
they have a great food service, great lounge to watch tv, and at night they have a projector screen and they run movies.
fire pit outside with plenty of chairs around to hang out and shoot the shit.

Nice pics. Looks like a good time was had by all.

What was it like, spending a week in full leathers, with all that heat and humidity, that you can get down there?

True that skin graft stuff. I just hope I never have to find out how well my mesh gear will hold up.

they were cut open and gutted, then custom oval end cap outlets were made and welded on.

heat shields were left off, i then painted them with VHT high temp paint

sweet looks like alot of fun. I wouldn't worry about dragging your pegs with someone on the back, leave that to the squids.. how did your lugguage hold up???????????

haha im not draggin pegs with the wife on back, but we both like getting a little lean on... its weird cause she hates when im driving either of the cars, but loves when she is riding passenger on the bike.. makes no sense

luggage held up great.
had only one issue.. one of my welds on my bracket i made broke while in NC... it was my fault i was pushing against it while putting the right side bag on in the morning before we left.

i found a place about 20 min up the road that welded it back up for me for $20... after that no issues at all.

still am going to buy the honda line hard bags though.. will make life easier, and they look nicer IMO
