Your Lid

I'd like to know what you keep your mellon in on the bike. I don't care which is best, I just want to know which one you wear.

Throw up some pics if you got 'em.

Seriously thought about the drool, still might do it. Maybe if I ever get a real helmet I'll trash the old drewl even more.

Arai. This is my 4th one. The others went with the bikes, that gives me a good excuse to get another. I've gotten all except one on Ebay for good prices, in excellent condition. The first came with my first bike.

I have a Shoei RF-1000 diabolic 2 and my wife's is a Scorpion exo 700 Black Dhalia. The matte black and red on her helmet makes it look awesome if only Scorpion made a mens helmet to match.

HJC CL-SP Phoenix for me and the wife. She's not real happy with hers, says there is too much wind noise. But mine is great and I got a great deal on them too!

Scorpion EXO-700 Burst. I've had Shoei 900 & 700s in the past. I was never happy with the venting though (yes, I'm a hot-head). However, I've been very impressed with the Scorpion venting/construction/quality/fit - all at a great price (rated very well also)!

Drewl, I'm looking forward to seeing that "custom lid" in August...

Another Scorpion EXO-700 guy here. The new Shoei's didn't fit my head as well as my old one and the Scorpion was a perfect fit. Nice helmet and amazingly, there anti-fog shield actually does not fog up.

Only complaint is that it's a little noisier than my old Shoel, but not by much.

Shoei XR1000 (RF) since 2004, what makes it a great helmet for me is zero buffeting at any speed and very neutral when looking around.

KBC VR-1 that replaced a KBC TK200-S. KBC is the only helmet that fits my head right. I've tried Arai, Shoei, Bell, HJC, and almost every full face that I have seen, and there is always something that never feels right. The KBC's just fit.

I remember reading somewhere that helmet manufacturers design their helmets for particular head shapes. It made me feel better, because I was starting to think that my head was deformed. Not that it isn't...
