Hey all... I'm doing a track day at Willow on Sept. 5 and I'm looking for opinions on tires. I have a set of brand new Pirelli Diablo street tires in my garage I was going to put on soon, but I'm not sure how they would do on the track... anyone have thoughts on this? My other option is to spend about $200.00 for race take-offs, which is what I'm leaning towards. I did that last track day, then used them for the street and they've been good... lasted a while...
Thoughts please...???

So what did you go with? If I had seen this thread sooner I would have said go ahead and use the Diablo's. They would be more than enough tire to get you through the day.
How did it go?
if you have the money go with new track tires med, soft compound. I am supposing its a track ride day and not a race..tires are everything but I think those pirellis are good enough for a track day....good luck be safe.....

Yup!
Two4One and deepdish have it chicky! Slap the Diablos on, put the pressures at 29/30 psi front and back, in the am BEFORE you are on the track, and let it rip!

I dont know how hard you ride but the Bstone BT016 worked out great for me.
