Laguna Seca DEC 15 Track Day

I've booked a track day with Keigwin's on Dec. 15 (tuesday) for Laguna Seca. There's still lots of spots left if anyone wants to join. Price is pretty good for a track of this caliber. $240

oh momma, back from the track and it was a good day ! Weather was perfect, no rain and sun for about half the day then some clouds.

With the new Pirelli's sticking like glue, the knee pucks took a beating. Never really been one to get my knee down to the left, but i think it was on the ground more then the right.

That track is a blast ! big, spacious, smooth and sweeping. The first half of the day was spent in the B- group, and after lunch moved up to B+

The corkscrew is wicked ! That has to of been someone's mistake that stuck. I was getting it figured toward the end of the day and it was the only place i messed up on. Ended up pulling a Rossi, and he was right. The dirt had good grip.

It's too bad the track costs so much cause id love to be able go back on a regular basis.

I'll see if i can post up some pics and maybe a video if anyone is intrested.

Sounds like a blast. Post some pics and some videos would be nice. BTW, do you have a Power Commander? What kind of engine temps were you hitting around Laguna? I ask because I don't have a PC and just riding canyons, my engine temp gets pretty hot.

Did it last year. Will pay that much again no problem, it's worth every penny. you can use a non stock exhaust, but if you get loud you only get two chances and your done. one of the guys during my day made it through with out getting pinged once, but he took it easy going past the sound "trap".
My track day dream list has Motegi on top, but we will see. it's 400 a year for track license and then you pay per "session" once there. it gets expensive quick, but if your bike craps out on you mid day you wind up saving money...

Yeah, i didn't care much for having to run the stock exhaust. But by the time i was comfortable with attempting to put the Hindle back on, i was too tired to care. The bikes just too quiet with the stock exh. With ear plugs in, i end up winding it out too much.....

thats crazy that the db limit is so low. the only track ive been to that made an effort of saying there is a limit is jennings, but even then it was 104db

yeah, 92 db. and the track officials are real Nazi's about it too. I was listening to a track radio and it was constant chatter either about sound violations, or someone running without mirrors being taped.




oh well. our warm weather makes up for it.

Nice video T. about the 4 min. mark it looked like you were getting pretty comfortable.....blowing through that pack of girlscouts on the straight.
do they limit passing to straights? is there a D+ group for riders like me?
did you use the 1080p setting on the GoPro?
..........so many questions!!!

Thanks Bob. In B group you can pass anywhere. I dont have have the HD version of the GoPro, so no on the 1080P
