Check out those Yellow Blue Sidi boots, you'd want to be a very good rider to wear those out riding.

Common sense? Hmm....isn't that what my logical next step would have been? To ask questions? I was not defending either side. Just pointing out my observations and applying a little "common sense" as you put it. As I said, errors were made on both ends of this. IMO, you got short ended in the feedback area. At the worst you should have got the same as you received. If I were a seller, then you would have got a postive feedback because you paid. As someone who is customer oriented, I would have even offered to refund the $ you paid and asked that you return the item, something this seller did not apparently offer. As a buyer, since it did not state in the ad it was anything other that a standard screen, regardless of the pic, I would have sent an email and asked. You didn't. That was your choice. I am not you and you are not me and as individuals we will do things different.

1.) Go into site map and look under feedbacks. You can add more to your original feedback if you want and you can put a note on the negative he gave you. At least others will see that you disagree with what he said.
2.) The comment about dealing with anyone with negative feedbacks is just WRONG. I think it is prudent to look at the feedbacks before you just say NO. I had a guy give me a negative feedback recently and tried to get his money back from PayPal and they didn't honor his claim. He was trying to get something for nothing. Of course I deal in computer stuff allot so that is a bit different. You have to look at the buyer or seller as a whole not just their feedbacks. I have been doing this for years and I have about 7 negative feedbacks over 5 years and if you look at them you will see that most of them were kicked off of ebay for their auctions. Like I said above and as in life you will come across rip offs at one point in time. Lots of eBayers use feedbacks as a way to get back instead of dealing. WHen I leave a negative I always offer that any ebayer can contact me so they can see more than the 37 characters you get in a negative feedback.

I may be "WRONG" but why is it, the only time anyone gets the shaft on Ebay, it's from people with, OH MY GOSH!!!!, negative feedback? He dealt with a guy with 54 negatives & look what it got him. So I can live with being "WRONG" on this one.

When I use Ebay, buying or selling, people with negative feedback need not apply. Right or wrong, I'm not swaying from this policy.

“Son, we live in a world that has auctions, and those auctions have to be guarded by men with computers. Whose gonna do it? You? You, KC? I have more responsibility here than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Sellers, and you curse the Buyers. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That the sale of a double bubble, while tragic, probably saved money. And that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves feedback. I know deep down in places you dont talk about at parties, you don’t want me bidding, you need me bidding. We use words like honor, code, loyalty, paypal, feedback. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very thread I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a Macy's account, and stand to post. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think you are entitled to!”

Hey SLOVER

Congratulations for putting this humourous spin on this thread. You da man!

And KC. Same to you for accepting this humour and standing by your position. Both you are gentlemen in my books. And if being called a gentleman offends you two, then we could be friends to boot cause I don't read my books. I just look at the pix.

Back to the Heineken.

I sent them an e-mail with a link to this thread in case they wanted to present their side of the case. Who knows, maybe they'll see an opportunity to come on here and change some people's minds.

I have had similar experiences with another vendor on eBay: if you paid via PayPal, you can submit a complaint and request for full refund. PayPal will actually pay you back. If you didn't use PayPal, you can still submit a complaint through eBay, although eBay loves their sellers and tends to do NOTHING for buyers. PayPal is different though, as they rely on the buyers for their commerce.
If the vendor showed something other than what you got, you got screwed.
Don't sit back and let them do it to you - go after them.
