I'm a little disappointed. Not crazy about the silver, though may look better in person. Maybe I'll scoop up a leftover candy red '07.

I am sort of happy and sad in the same time..

 Happy - need no buy new bike .. love my candy red apple VFR (ABS)
 Sad - lots of anticipation to get maybe a new ST or Deuville or a DN-01

Kids are happy we no need to dig into retirement or college funds. The only thing I like is the new ST1300 candy red as it maches my VFR color and maybe both would look better if I get a stable mate to the VFR...

Well ... one other year to wait for the Dream Machine .. or maybe they still have someting in their machine and want to surprise us all

Honda just saved me about $12K because they did not build the VFR1000!

What a let down! I can't believe they've milked this generation vfr for so long. Guess I'll keep my F4i another year. Or maybe my $ will go to another manufacturer.

umm am I the only one to notice that Honda doesn't have a 08 CBR1000 on their website right now? Considering that the dealer convention is going on, there might be a glimmer of hope, this is usually when they launch such things....

I was confused by that, as well. Apparently, pictures of the liter CBR were posted this morning, then removed shortly after. Some have supposedly seen it, and commented about their disappointment with it.

For what this bike is and for what it is meant to be, there is no need to change it. The current bike is so refined, it is incredible. I rode my '07 back-to-back today with my old '99 and all I can say is that I'd be happy with the current bike for some time to come.

Is it just me, or, do the rumors sorta ruin the party when the expected guest never arrives? After all the hype, it was just that, hype. Too bad as it was a prime time to enhance the brand.

    What is wrong with Silver?

Not that there is anything wrong with RWB.

I think you hit it exactly..... There are 25 years worth of VFRs out there and lots of people ready and waiting to see the next step and they just got let down again. I love my bike but its new to me but I wish there was something done just to enhance the brand and make us all go to the dealer this Fall and check out the next bike many of us could own. 5-6 years is a long time for a motorcycle to remain unchanged. This is the kind of thing Kawasaki does!!!!

I don't see it as a "Let Down". Yamaha has been building the V-Max for 20+ years, and I'd still like to have one. Every year when the V-Max is still on the show room floor, I think "Maybe this year". Just can't seem to pass up a good 'ole Honda for the Yamahammer. Last fall I RAN down to the dealer to check out the new RWB. For some crazy reason, my boss bought me one! And, I couldn't be happier. Honda could do more with the VFR, but if it ain't broke...

The evolution of the machine has led to where things were 5-6 years ago. Man that even reads bad. I'm just pissed that they thought a new Gold Wing or Four Wheel Utility Buggy was exciting news. A new VFR would would have been pretty exciting.

I know a lot of people were looking foreword to a NEW VFR for '08, and that would have been exciting! I'm just glad they didn't discontinue it all together. Honda is famous for dropping some GREAT bikes. Seems like every time I get the newest, latest, coolest thing out there, they 1-up me the very next year. It looks like my new RWB will still be state of the art, at least until '09.
