After replacing a new throttle bodies on my 2001 VFR 800, I am hoping someone can help explain some parts to me. I have installed the throttle bodies successfully and my curiosity is about the nipples where vacuum tubes connect to the air cleaning house. Are there suppose to be holes in those nipples so air can be sucked in via vacuum tubes? One of the four- nipples broke off and it does not seem to have any air hole? I have also checks the other 4 too and don't see them.

I have this bike supposely from a trusted source and I have more gray hairs trying to fix and spending money on it. I am just about to give up. Please help.

My mechanic told me that I needed to replace the throttle bodies b/c it was bent. After over $1000 of buying new part, I could not tell what was wrong with the old TB besides finding old Vacuum tubes clogs......I am very angry.
