Want to chop the rear fender, but have Corbin Beetle bags...

Hey Guys,

I just recently purchased a 5th gen veefer and she came with Corbin beetle bags (not mounted on the bike). I'd like to mount these up sometime for sport-touring, but I ALWAYS shave the fender on any bike I have...

I noticed that the beetle bags require a hanger that attaches to the rear fender.

How did you guys get around this? Make a piece that bolts on under the seat for mounting the bags?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm away from the house for 3 weeks so I don't have access to pictures, however if you are a beetle bag owner you should know what I am referring to.
