What can I use to clean the (chain side) rear rim? It seems get residue from the chain lube. Am I using to much lube? Marco
my two pence m8 u can never use to much chain lube. I use a wax and greese remover (panel whip) when Im going to wax it anywhy its not a problem....
WD 40 works, kerosene works too, Castrol super cleaner in the purple bottle works, just use rubber gloves. Me I use WD 40 then soap and hot water, dry and wax. BLING!
I just switched to the bel-ray super clean NO-FLing chaing lube. I had been using hte Honda Pro Lube. The honda Lube didn't fling that much but I get brake dust and what does fling off the chain on my wheels. I use simple green on a rag or WD40 Best results with Turtle wax bug and tar remover. You need to be careful about spraying cleaners around your wheel not to get them on your rotor(s). WD40 and Bug and tar remover along with many other cleaners will get your wheels clean but will leave a film. This film on your rotor will make stoping HARDER (safety issue). Spray a rag not your wheel.
