    RED BULL INDIANAPOLIS GP MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES

    INDIANAPOLIS, Monday, Sept. 8, 2008 - MotoGP riders, teams and sponsors will play host to press conferences, media opportunities and rider appearances throughout the week of the Red Bull Indianapolis GP. A list of confirmed events(all times Eastern):

    TUESDAY, SEPT. 9

    11 a.m.-1 p.m.
    Kick Start Celebration Press Conference

    What: Press conference and photo opportunity featuring Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, IMS President Joie Chitwood, Red Bull Riders Cup and Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup riders and others. MotoGP bikes on display as well as special bikes provided by Cycle World Magazine.

    THURSDAY, SEPT. 11

    9 a.m.-6 p.m.
    Red Bull Indianapolis GPreview

    What: A variety of fan-friendly activities are scheduled, including fan Q&A sessions with 18 MotoGP riders, pit walk and a concert featuring Tech 3 Yamaha MotoGP rider and trained classical pianist James Toseland. The Vendor Marketplace will be open, featuring Alpinestars, Arai, Arlen Ness, Dainese, Joe Rocket, Nolan, Oakley, Scorpion, Shoei and Tour Master/Cortech, among the more than 40 leading brands that will display and sell the latest in motorcycle equipment and accessories in Gasoline Alley. Appearances and photo opportunities with Red Bull Indianapolis GP Grid Girls, free temporary tattoos, a DJ spinning music and more. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Official Trackside Gift Shops and IMS concession stands adjacent to the Pagoda Plaza and Hall of Fame Museum, and the MotoGP team/rider official merchandise areas will be open all day.

    Stage Show/Fan Question-and-Answer Session

    What: Starting field of the inaugural Red Bull Indianapolis GP

    Red Bull TNT Freestyle Motocross

    What: Red Bull TNT Freestyle riders will perform aerial tricks and stunts after launching themselves high into the air from huge ramps.

    Where: Broad Ripple, 62nd St. between College Ave. and Guilford Ave.

    FRIDAY, SEPT. 12

    7-11 p.m.
    XDL Sportbike Freestyle Championship at Indy

    What: High-energy, high-thrill motorcycle stunt/drifting event

    Where: North Street between Pennsylvania and Meridian Streets

    7 p.m.-midnight
    Motorcycles on Meridian

    What: Meridian Street in downtown Indianapolis will be open only to motorcycle traffic and parking between Maryland and South Streets, providing a perfect opportunity for riders and fans to check out the exciting restaurants and downtown nightlife.

    SATURDAY, SEPT. 13

    5 p.m.
    Qualifying Press Conference

    Who: Three front-row riders of MotoGP class and pole winners in 125cc and 250cc class

    Where: Economaki Press Conference Room, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Media Center

    Lucas Oil Indy Mile AMA Flat Track Grand National

    What: The top national flat-track motorcycle racing series returns to the famed "Indy Mile" dirt oval for the first time since 1999. The top flat-track riders in the world will slide through the corners while racing handlebar-to-handlebar around the track.

    Pedrosa...lol For those of your that didn't get to go. When they started announcing the starting grid by position, Nicky got the loudest cheer by far. When they called Pedrosa's name, everyone went, "Booooo!!". It was funny as hell.

    So this is a pick from the parade lap on Sat. at Indy... Who are the 4th gen and 6th gen VFR's of fame? (no, I don't know who they are, but that RWB is sweet looking)
