I was gonna say,...... if your working on the bike and driving in circles like, 5 miles an hour you need pants shirt and helmet,, If you go to the store, pants jacket helmet gloves. If you go on a trip omn the freeway you need to don the leathers....asnd other appropriate gear for the weather your gonna ride in................oh , wrong gear calculator........... cool nice find.

I was going to start a new post around this Gearing Commander website, but someone beat me to it.

Recently purchased my VFR, and thought that the chain needed to be replaced.
Why, You ask? Well, the rear sprocket is clearly past the wear indicator, in fact past the whole sticker.
The confusing thing is that the chain and sprockets look great, no visible wear.

While riding at or near the speed limit in traffic, I was constantly being tailgated.

As some of you have already guessed, the front sprocket is one tooth smaller than stock.
    The speedometer is off significantly.

A GOOGLE search led me to http://www.gearingcommander.com

I highly recommend you check it out if you are thinking of new gearing.

The most useful information in this calculator is at the bottom of the page.
Where it shows how many revolutions of the chain it takes for a specific link to be in the exact same location on the sprocket.
Good information if you are interested in what combination will give you the best chain life.
