I either need a complete petcock rebuild kit, or some sort of replacement.

Anyone know where I can get one ?

The parts in a Honda rebuild kit I had for my Valkyrie were identical to the VF, I used it in the VF and it's worked fine for the last couple of years.

part number 16953-MV9-000 has been replaced with 16953-MBZ-B51.

Check out my site, I have details on how you can modify the petcock so it never causes problems again. From the main page go to the "How To" section and you'll find a link to it there. I'm too cheap to pay for parts when I can modify what I have!

Yeah, My petcock already has that mod. lol

Its an old racers trick. Thanks alot though.

My petcock is off an old vf500 chassis that we stuck a highly modified
    xl600 motor in it.

So I have to ask - what's the problem? Why do you want to replace the petcock?

It leaks really really bad. Its been sitting up for many years.

When I went to use it on my gas tank, it was poring gas as fast as it was going in.

Now that I know I can find a rebuild kit. Its a keeper lol.

How did the Valkyrie petcock turn out on your bike? I did jamie's mod to mine too. Its starting to leak all the time so I'd like to order the 98' valkerie parts. I noticed its a different number on their site. did you get the COVER SET,COCK 1649093?

Does the VF1000F have a vacuum operated petcock like that too? I've been shutting mine off manually whenever I park it, but if it has a vacuum valve I'll not bother (such as on my old GS450E).

No, the VF1000F does not have vacuum operation of the petcock. It's fully manual.

Yeah, dont get me wrong the mod improved the flow on the 86 vf500, its just been a couple years since and its now leaking for some reason.
