New to the website. I have had my 2004 VFR for over a year. I got a killer deal on one at a dealership here. It has been an absolute blast to ride. It handles like a dream and honestly I dont want another type of bike. I had a question no one has been able to answer around here. I had a blow out on my rear tire on the way to work one morning. It was absolutely the scariest moment of my life. I pulled the bike out of it and had a nice median to stop on. Anyway, I am out a rear tire and rim. I had to keep moving on the bike to get out of traffic and bent the rim. Honda dealership is trying to rape me on the wheel. I understand the price of tires but I think they are breaking it off with the rim.Any advice on where to find good deals on the internet? I love this site. It is a VFR lovers dream come true.

make sure you join the Honda riders club. You'll get 10% off all merchandise and parts. Your $40 will be well spent in a year's time. Other than that, honda parts are a huge rip-off just like BMW and the rest. Buy elsewhere if you can.

You didn't say what the dealer wanted, but Bike Bandit.com - 2004 VFR 800 Rear Wheel shows two wheels (2 diff part numbers anyway) for a price of $427.18. AMA members get a 6% discount. I have bought a number of parts from them with no problems.
