Well I finally got the wife to go out with me on the bike over the weekend!!!

Keep in mind that this is a girl who used to race 3-wheelers when she was younger, and it's been a LONG time since she's ridden, or been a passenger on, a bike.

She got on the back, and I took her for a nice slow (25 MPH) trip around the block, and she was clinging on for dear life. She did really well on that, so I asked her if she was ready to go, and scared... she said yes.

I headed out for the local freeway, and as I'm making the turn onto the on-ramp I told her to "hang on", and I hit it (not hard... just up to about 75 MPH), and amidst the squeals from her... I heard her start to giggle...

This trend continued during the ride and when we took a 45 MPH turn about 65-70, she once again squealed and giggled.

Her only complaint about the ride... was that her "borrowed" helmet (borrowed from one of my neighbors son's - Walmart Special) wasn't really aerodynamic, and kept trying to rise off her head.

I was also told that we will take the bike from now on on all good weather date nights...

Did I ever say how much I LOVE my wife??

My wife rode on the back for a month or two. Then she said that she wanted her own bike. She started with a Ninja 250 and one year later she got rid of that and got a Ninja 650r. She's had that about 2 years, and now she wants to take the Viffer for a ride!

My fiance rode on the back of my bike for a few months until we got her a new bike. She now has a GSXR600. It is fun to be able to ride together.

Now you need to buy a bike for her. Trust me, it's more fun that way.

On a side note, what's up with those boots? To say they don't look like motorcycle boots would be an understatement.

    KC-10 FE out...

Dude thats awsome. I can't put my girl on the back of my bike. She can't walk and chew gum at the same time. I would love to have her ride with me. She often jokes that she should have been named Grace.

Well I told her that she wasn't going riding with me unless she had over the ankle footwear. I said that her Hiking boots (I was wearing my hiking boots in this photo) would work, but she complained that the hiking boots didn't go with her outfit, so she chose those.

I was going to ask the SAME question about those boots! :pound: I'm not even going to ask about what else she uses those boots for!

It's great she got on the bike for a ride. My wife was bugging me about when I was going to take her out so one day we went for a short ride around the neighborhood. She was breathing so hard after the ride she steamed up visor on the helmet. Not too sure she wants to do it again...
