I am new here. I have been learning a lot reading up on VFRs on this forum and have pretty much fallen in love with them.

I hate sounding needy but my bike is old and in need of parts and I'm having trouble locating some. As it says in the title I am looking for spark plug wires for an 85 vf500 (specifically the left rear and front right) and a petcock.

I wouldn't have asked about the petcock cause I saw one on ebay last week (there aren't any at the moment) but I really want one as soon as possible cause I'm itching to ride. ;)

    It's cracked and thus leaks.:frown:

I had never used the reserve before and one day I needed to and so switched it over and went and filled up and turned it back to on. I then went home and parked the bike and the next day there was a large puddle of gas under the bike and the side of the engine was covered in gas. I think the crack was probably there prior to this and actually turning it several times aggravated it causing it to leak.

The crack is along the part that mounts to the tank. I'm kind of new to bikes so I don't know all the terms for everything. Thank you very much for your help so far.

I have a friend that has a petcock that doesn't work in the on position. But it has no leaks. I'm probably just going to take it and use it for now on reserve. Anyone know what could be causing the on position to be blocked or to not allow fuel to flow?

I have a 86 parts bike in the back yard. The plug wires are used but i'd part w/ them.
