I purchased a pair of Corbin Beetle bags off of Ebay for my 1999 VFR.

I was wondering if anyone had the installation instructions for these bags.

I checked the Corbin site and they only detail bags that are 2002 +.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I may have my instructions somewhere. I'll dig them out and email them to you if I can find them.

Did you get all of the brackets with the bags? There's one that goes behind the license plate bracket for attachment to both bags, another one for the right side and still another for the left side.

    Thanks for responding so quick.

Yes, I have the licence plate bracket, a left and right bracket, and another braced bracket that I don't know where it goes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Knife.

Knife, how do you like the bags? I have read a variety of different opinions. Would love to hear your thoughts/experiences.

They look great! Not as practical as standard style bags, though (odd shape and odd shaped opening). They do hold quite a bit. The contour of my lids don't exactly match the contour of the case openings, so rain gets in if it's pouring. I make sure I put everything in waterproof bags before I load up the cases.

I'll go out to the garage now and see if I can find those instructions. If I'm successful, I'll have to scan them at work tomorrow and email them to you.

I have had the Beetle Bags on my VFR since I bought the bike new in 2001. Overall, I have been very happy with the purchase. As with any bag, you have to be creative when packing for long trips, but the bags have served me well mile after mile!

Tampa, lucky man. My 3 bikes are in the garage for another 3 to 4 months. Enjoy your bags.
