I've been toying with the idea of either trading in my bike on something larger, or swapping out the front bars to match the ergos of a ST1100/1300. I've already installed Buell XB12X pegs, and my knees are great after a six hour ride, but my wrists are cramped and sore for a few days.

I scoured this forum and found a few posts regarding the Spiegler LSL bars.

I think that they're a great idea, but I was wondering if I could mount high rise ATV bars like the ones in this post:

Would it be possible to mount these bars and sweep them back w/ adequate fairing clearance? Has anyone tried this? I saw the HK 4gen police bike with the tall bars, so I'd assume that it would be possible.

Have you looked at Helibars? Them and Gen Mar risers seem to have the best results for the VFR. I have seen dirt bike bars on one or two VFRs but I think they were fightered. Fairing clearance will be the main issue, as you know.
I guess the only way to find out is put some on and see first hand.

I forgot to say that I already have genmar risers mounted and my hands still cramp up. I want more bar height than what I can get from convertibars.
