Last year I participated in a fantasy league that includes MGP, WSBK, BSB etc and found it fun. There is a site that is free to join, not a source of spam or ads, and does all the math. All you have to do is sign up and pick your team Fantasy Motorcycle Racing from myroadrace.com

They havent set up for 2010 yet, but you can sign up and check it out. I have set up a VFR_Riders league so we can follow and "race" against one another

I'm in. I played at another site through the Aprilia Forum last year. I will do both this year.

I'll be using my patented 'who has the coolest helmet' method for picking this year... Let's see if it works better than my famous, "what color bike do I like?" method.

Careful, you'll soon be commenting on MotoGp, WSBK, BSB, etc, even though you have no effect whosoever on the outcomes.

And to think, I have always told myself I would never be one of those fantasy league guys, just too nerdy.

    Nobody will beat NCB anyway

I can. Reg can keep his "coolest helmet" approach... I'm choosing by reverse alphabetical order. That's right... all the kids with names at the end of the alphabet that had to stand at the END of the line in elementary school. I bet they were so fed up with that, they just wanted to RIDE and ended up tremendously better than their A B and C competitors. Just remember, "Ze Winner" is at the end of the alphabet, too.

PS: BSB? You're in a Backstreet Boys fantasy league?

I'm maybe changing my approach... I'm perhaps going for the economical approach by picking the cheapest riders, that way I have money to spend at the race on cotton candy and soft pretzels and t-shirts and souvenirs. I use the same strategy for Fantasy NASCAR, that way I have money left for Skoal and Redman chew, and an endless supply of Busch light and still have some leftover to pay the guy at the booth to buzz a number 8 into the sides of my head.

Now I see why people do fantasy leagues. The league doesn't even have this year's picks ready to go yet and the smack talk has already started

OK, I registered today and joined the VFR Rider league. The funky thing about the site is that the drop down menus for the team rider selections don't accurately reflect the riders that have switched series...I think they are the same as the menus from 2009. I did pick all of my riders, but I will be paying close attention to see if the rider menus and contract amounts change before the start of the season.

My team name is TopTech and I think I have a decent rider lineup as it stands now. Hopefully, they will make some contract cost adjustments for the 2009 results and I can upgrade even further.

this could lead to probs as I picked ben spies but I thought he was going to gp this year... anyone heard? most of the riders in the bsb and bss or bs or whatever I have never heard of so I just picked some cheap ones to allow me the $$ to get spies and rossi and stoner...

hang on, they havent put up the rosters yet for 2010, which would of course include Spies in MGP on the Tech3 Yamaha. Expect them to put up the full rosters once FIM and other bodies confirm teams/riders etc... prob feb.

They said you can change whatever you want up until the first race of each series....i'll just change when they become available. The header at the top of the team selection page said 2010....I figured they would be changing it, even if they don't change it, i'm still pretty well off.....

the secret is to make sure you are in before the beginning of the season [check]
and really take a look at BSB - cheap riders can rack a lot of points

edit - one other thing, you can enter as many leagues as you want with the same team and are automatically entered into the overall league... its pretty cool

I am figuring that the lesser known series would separate the field pretty quickly ;) No trash talking gonna come from here....it's all about the scoreboard, baby.
