Just pivked up a 1985 VF1000R project today. It does run but needs a bit of work. Main issues are Tires, Battery, Rust in tank and a full and proper tune up. Last owner rebiult the carbs stripped it to the frame for a repaint. It has a K&N filter and came with Supertrapp exhaust plus a solo seat cover. Once I get the ownership sorted I will start to look into it more.

I sold my 2001 VFR800 over the winter but can't seem to stay away fromn the V4 Hondas.

Holy strap overkill Batman! Nice find though. A VF1000R is on my list of someday bikes.

I have 5 straps but the ends are 15 feet long and tied up all over. I also have a wheel choke on he front tire.

I have my Bandit 6 for the street right now and a Ruckus scooter to get to work and back. This will be a project that isn't rushed.

Looks good. The panels are usually all rashed up so that makes things easy. Look forward to seeing the progress.

It looks pretty complete and looks to be a great starting point if you're looking to restore it. You've even got the stock exhaust. Definitely a great find. Congratulations.

$750. the last owner rebuilt the carbs and a lot more. He was to short and light for the bike.
