2nd Trip to Colorado, June 28th

    Okay guys and gals from Colorado, I am heading out the end of June for my second trip. Last time, I rode Pike's Peak, Rocky Mountain Nat. Forest, Red Rock and up through Marble - Portal and back to the Eagle area.

    I absolutely LOVED IT!

    I am looking for suggestions.

    We are riding in from St. Louis and last time I jumped off 70 in Limen and down through Colorado Springs, up 24 toward Eagle, Co. Gonna have two solid days there to ride, before having to begin our two day treck back. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated:cool:!

    If you can swing it, the best ride is highway 550 from Ouray to Durango. Also called the Million Dollar Highway. Thru the San Juans also known as the Switzerland of the US. There are youtube videos galore of people riding it. It's in the southwest corner of the state so you can do a loop thru Denver to Grand Junction, down to Montrose, Ouray, Durango, and then make your way east again toward Colorado Springs or drop down into New Mexico and across Texas.

    Thanks for the reply! The "Million Dollar Highway" looks great!

    This trip, we need to limit our rides/sight seeing, somewhat. We will only have two days and are staying in the Beaver Creek area. I will surely plan a trip next year with more time allowed to get around the southwest portion of the state. Absolutely amazing riding!
