Hi Guys, Are there any members who live/ride in Belgium, Antwerp ??? Need some friends to burn rubber!!!! Greetz TomVFR23
(crickets).....I guess no Belgium buddies for you boss. I thought we had some members there as well....maybe we did, but they didn't see your post. Anyways.....hope you were able to... :vtr2:
Lived and worked there between 1994 and 1998 ... living back in Ireland now with my Belgian wife. Ik hoop dat alles gaat goed daar, en als ik de kans krigt zal ik mijn VFR meenemen, maar met twee kinderen is het moeilijk !!!
Hello, Here's a new member from Belgium, near Gent. After a few sportsbikes (all Honda), I've just bought a 2002 VFR. Power is much less than my CBR1000rr, but then again comfort is much better on our Belgian bumpy roads .. Hope to learn a lot here on the forum, ready to dive into all topics
No VFRiends on the VFROC -forum ? (The Netherlands and Belgium). Or did they burn all their rubber already ?
Need help!!! Is there a HP limit on bikes in Belgium??? Someone told me there is, and it might be a problem with my bike. Also, is there a good device that can serve as GPS and let me skype in a wifi area? I'd love to be able to use a tablet or such as a GPS in Europe and be able to skype back home from a cafe in Brussels, Paris, etc. I'll be in Belgium in a couple of days and I'm worried about my beautiful lady in that horrid crate all this time.
At my knowledge there is not hp limit in Belgium. In Germany there is a limit....100 hp. If there is a limit than it's only for Belgium bikes (bikes whitch are registred in Belgium). When I go to Belgium, there is no limit for my Dutch bike. So I wouldn't worry when you bring your own bike.... I can't answer your question about gps etc. I think you can use your own device...... MS, Android, Apple....it's all over the place....but i am not an expert.
Hello, no HP limit, not even for bikes registrated in Belgium. Didn't know there was a limit in Germany. I do know in Germany there strict about db limit; fortunately no worries here in Belgium:biggrin: About gps and stuff, I don't think there will be a problem to use your stuff. In Belgium, lot of speed control with mounted cameras. Don't think you should worry about it; normally speedphotos of non Europeans go directly in the trashbin. Just be carefull on the road. Belgian streets are known for their terrible condition ..
You are my hero. I've been worried today that I would have to leave my VFR parked and not get the Blackbird replacement I planned. Now, I can plan on having fun when I get there! Thanks! David
I'm in Casteau, near Mons. Just got my first ticket in the mail. Rats! I don't even know where the camera is. How do I find out? I try to be good, but when stupid drivers start doing stupid things, I roll the throttle back and get away from them.
Cygnus-X welcome. It is great to have you here! If you haven't, introduce yourself in the "Introductions" forum, and post some pics of your bike there as well.
