cdi boxes on my 1st gen

    Is there any way of telling when one is going bad I know ether they work or they don't
    bike is running fine just doesn't want to idle .
    the return is awfully slow some times then dies.

    Well, that's certainly not a spark box problem - sounds like a carb issue. Most likely it's the pilot circuits, probably time for a good ol' cleaning!
