The little screen filter thats attached to the petcock (up inside the gas tank) broke off so I added a inline fuel filter. The problem is if I dont add some hose (which makes the fuel line longer and drop lower than the carb bowls) the filter would be resting against my engine. Looks like crap and could melt!!!!

I noticed that when my fuel line drops lower than my carb bowls that my Sabre sputters for gas. So I wanna eliminate that dip!!!!!

HOW DO YOU GUYS DO IT???

Geez - Whizz. there are too many Umlots and soft Bs to cope with.
Your problem you sussed out when you sed the fuel line runs below the carburetor bowls. Thats when a fuel pump comes into the formula. Why not just get a new petcock from Honda?

Sounds like your near Frankfurt. Ever been to Kiel?

I dont know, tell me the year make of the bike and I will price it for you, I get parts at a discount. A fuel pump that would have cost you 200. and change cost me 105. \

Funny, the fish country thing. I was there last winter and was thanking jesus that I had heated seats in dah car  anywhooo-this maniac that was in our group was hankering for a certain kieler sprotten sandwich. We searched around this area of Kiel in the middle of the night walking into all these old salt bars. You had to see the patrons to believe it, kinda like something out of some old nautical movie. I dont think he got the sandwich, next day me and dah wife were walking around that same area and I was able to buy one for-myself. Then, I knew why the doode last night had the hanckering, very good fish sandwich.

Hey talked to a dealer over here and from my understanding they dont keep parts for anything older than 10 years around cause its just not worth it to them. That why when I order something it takes forever and they say it comes by ship from Japan to Spain then up through the main land Etc... ridiculous when its just something minor huh? Probably different in the States. You guys seem to to believe in CONVENIENCE :) MAYBE YOU CAN GET IT QUICKER? :plane:

Heres a picture of that filter (its the top part).

    82 HONDA VF750 VF750S SABRE FUEL TANK PETCOCK #4 | eBay

That screen broke off so now im using a inline plastic filter. Tiny Cheap One. But it just looks funky cause theres not much fuel line and its banging up against my motor!!! SO WHAT ARE MY ALTERNATIVES???

No problem to add an external filter

Try it and you will see. Just go ahead and add additional fuel line so its not touching the motor. Gravity will feed fuel as long as the level in the tank is higher than the inlet valve in the carb bowl. If you want to see it work then open a carb bowl drain screw with the petcock valve open. i usually catch the fuel and put it back in the tank.

    "Schweinfurt. Know that place? "

Anyone who's studied history of WWII knows the place!!~

German industrial center of ball bearing production that the US 8th Air Force was assigned to destroy and bombed several times with severe losses of planes and crews. Martin Cadin's book "Black Thursday" describes the events.

German industry profited from the war and had no hesitation to employ Nazi scum even mass murders after the war in positions high and low. Mercedes-Benz, BMW, VW, Siemens and many more.

    Never forget !

Noooo...I slowly eroded the bottle till it was empty. If I drained a bottle of that stuff in one sitting I would be a hard core raging alcholic

Side note, I checked on your part and the Honda computer was down. So, later in the week or next possibly. I did try, hung out for a little while and witnessed some of the lastest honda stuff. Lousy plastic, I gotsta say...Cheers, gud luck with your fuel thing...

Well man thanks for trying!!!! You think the older stuffs better than the new stuff? Well i sure wish i could keep up with some of the other bikes in my motorcycle club that are smaller but newer and they leave me in a dust cloud on these backroads and autobahn!!!!!

I will try and get creative how I route my fuel line and maybe i can fit a external filter in somewhere until i hear some better news from ya?

Thanks again for trying thats real nice of you I hope I hear some good news soon. Why didnt u just call em? COMPUTERS DOWN WTF?!?!?!!
