Gonna ride all three today, need to run some gas through the gen 2 because it has been sitting too long, need to do a shake down ride on the 2002 I just bought and put some fresh gas in that as well, and the 2007 to cycle gear for helmet parts I ordered.

Just got back from an easy 3 hour loop through the Santa Monica Mtns. Had coffee and a chili bean hangover omelet at the Rock Store. Now, back to bed for a couple hour power nap. Might ride the 1198 to Staples tonight to watch Lakers vs Clippers...

JTC, your making me feel pretty crappy about leaving southern CA. To be honest, the weekend canyon rides were the only thing I really enjoyed. Living in LA drove me nuts...

Well Friday night I rode up ot Hickory NC from Fort Bragg NC, about 170 miles. Only problem was, once I got an hour outside of Fort Bragg, the temp dropped from 50 to 30. I just soldiered on anyway. Not sure if that was the manly way, or the dumbest idea ever. I just got back about an hour ago, much more pleasent ride back.

I took my gf on a two up ride from Pittsburgh to York PA via RT 30 in september sometime. Not bad, bout 160 miles or so. Only problem is, on the way back it rained hard enough to drown frogs for close to three hours. Shes a trooper, even with raingear we were both completed soaked when we got home.

Well considering its a balmy 17 degrees outside right now, and the bike is an hour away in a friends garage for the winter. Yeah, I miss So Cal. If I hit the lottery I'll buy a new K1600GT and ride cross country, but don't hold your breath...

Visibility is down to zero and the flakes of snow are big enough to cover a house. Bike is parked today.

    Thx for the replies.

Pleasantly surprised to read all the shout outs about ur rides. My ride turned chilly too down to low thirties by the time I got home. Nothing quite like new tires, smooooth! Trying some metzlers, had michelin pilot road 2. Not sure I like the front profile as much. Turn in is a bit too quick for these ham fists!!! Good grip though. The rear inspires deep leans. Just like Stoner!!! Yeah right!
