I'm in the process of changing the fork oil on my 2006 vfr800. I got the left leg out, took the cap off, spring and washers and drained the oil. The damper rod moves easily enough but my fork completely extended and I can not budge the inner tube for the life of me, even putting my full weight on it with nothing in it. I can see marks on the inner tube from where it normally sits in the bike. I still need to do the other tube but it's still on the bike to keep the forks aligned.Any suggestions?

Is the extended tube empty or full of fluid when you are trying to move it?

Figured it out, the fork was completely compressed. The marks I was seeing were from the triple tree area. Damn, its been a while since I've serious maintenance, forgetting the obvious.
