I contacted a company out of the states called carbonfiberracing.com and they had these 3K carbon pieces made for my bike. Everything took them about 3 months to complete and it was worth the wait and the $900 bill shipped to canada from China. Wicked quality and bang on fitment (which is a rarity in the carbon world). For reference, these are not covers, they are direct replacements. All of the old pieces came off and were replaced with the carbon. What do you think?

P.S they are the only company which I know of that offers every body panel on the vfr in Carbon fiber. So, all you track guys looking to shave some pounds off ye old pig and have the wallet to do so, why not put your viffer on a carbon diet?

Best place to start the weight savings is the rider lol.

I know, rider weight is the best advantage when bringing the weight down but at 6'2'' tall, one can only loose so much weight before starting to look like an aids patient. My body sits comfortably at 190-195 lbs, which I am at right (194) now and I am in shape and very active. In order too bring the weight down I would have to make some serious changes to my lifestyle, diet and exercise systems.

I didn't by any means put the carbon on my bike for weight saving purposes - purely cosmetic. I was suggesting that if someone went into a serious weight reduction plan for their vfr that this is one option to shave a few strips of bacon off the pig.

    Hey!

I am really interested in purchasing some of the parts you mention in this post from Carbon Fiber Racing.
Could you please advise regarding fitment and quality?
    Were any modifications required?
What is your overall impression after 2 years of use?
Any wears or unreasonable problems (lacquer fading, broken parts, etc)?

It's a lot of money and I would like to have a precious opinion before purchasing.

    Thanks in advance!

I had some of the same questions on fitment. Were you able to use the stock fasteners and clips? I had to fab some spacers to allow the stock shoulder bolts to work on my carbon fiber chain guards I got from Germany for my 900RR. This really looks nice and I'm intrrested in getting alot ofthe same parts fo my 07 RWB. Just dont want to have to improvise again to get things to tighten down.
