Riding a Japanese bike in H-D City might be considered subversive to AMERICAN Values, eh ??

It's not so bad, sure you don't get waves from the H-D crew, but that's ok. There are a decent amount of non-H-D bikes in the area. Occasionally even another VFR.

I work near Miller Park so I am in and out of Milwaukee almost daily.

I've been a hassled a few times. I had some HD rider give me a hand signal to slow down on a back road the other week. I'm pretty fed up with 'em.

@stoops - I'm right off the corner of Hwy 100 and Greenfield Ave.

pjvtec, My mother & my youngest brother live in your area.

Down here in Indiana I get just the opposite reaction, I don't recall an H-D rider that hasn't given a wave or a peace sign as I am riding. But the majority of the Sportbike riders tend to act like their life would be cut short if they removed their left hand from the controls. :suspicious:

I used to get most of the waves from sportbikes, but with the sidecases on now, it's a crap shoot who's going to wave.

Cuz sportbikers are so uncommon in corn, pig, cow, and soybean middle America that anything BUT an H-D marks you as a suspious radical suspect of Commonism !

BTW, in 25 years riding i've never seen an H-D rider flash a peace sign "V" !

Anything anti-war , peacenik stuff would boot any H-D rider out out of the fraternity, woundnit ?

H-D riders are a slightly sub-normal tribe, conformists while sportbikers think more for themselves....mostly, IMO.

Maybe i'm an unwilling elitist too
cuz i'd never wave at any scooterthing.

See you fellow VFRers at the Milwaukee area bike nights and also up at Road America for the road racing.

That "V" flashed by harleydoods is not a peace sign. In harleydoodspeak it means I'd like to have sex with you and any farm animals you have.

Waukesha county miniceptor rider here. I spoke with a guy riding a red 3rd gen in Wales a couple of weeks ago, but didn't ask if he was on this board.

I am not from Milwaukee but close Kenosha. Once the weather warms up there is a Bike night here on Tuesdays at a coffee shop on the lake front called Harborside Common Grounds 5159 6th Ave · Kenosha good bunch of people.

I used to live in Kenosha and walked by that bike night during the summer, I was usually walking to Captain Mike's for a burger and beer. Should have made it to one before I moved away.
