a long allen socket and air gun. if you don't have those you use an allen and put your fork leg in a vise(with plenty of protection) and use a closed end wrench on the L part of the allen and use the wrench as a torque multiplier.

Generally you can get them to turn but they just spin, is this the case?

Or you may have a tightie? Air wrench is really the best way to get this done!

Yes the problem is they just turn inside.
Do you know how to stop the piston inside turning?
I have compressed the forks to try and stop the turning but still do good.
    Thanks

There is a tool you can buy to stick down inside the tube that keeps the interals from turning. I have had some luck in extending the fork and holding it in that position as tightly as I could and was able to turn the bolt w/o the internals turning.

what tools would i need to replace seals on front Fork? remove shock would be step 1 after u removed front mud gaurd and loosen the 2 clamps around the top. Does the whole shock need to be under pressure to open and reassemble it ? Would i be able to reassemble it without special fork tools etc? What oil ATF??? or dedicated Fork oil and how much ? I am really going to mess up this job ! then walk to work or wheelie it. Johan
