Is there any other bike model that uses the same brake discs as a vfr750f 1996, finding it hard to find some that are not extortionate prices?

You get what you pay for. If you don't feel like your life is worth $180, then thats an entirely different issue......

Nothing wrong with soliciting advice to save some bucks. Sheesh.

I have an aftermarket set from China, and they are awesome. $220 shipped.

IIRC, CBR900RR rotors are the same - 93-96 - not 100% sure about that though...

I also have my set of old rotors off my '96 that I'd happily sell to you, but the right rotor carrier (the gold part) has a nick in it and I believe that it's not true any longer. PM me if interested, I'll sell the set for $75USD + Shipping (which might be prohibitively expensive)

^^^ 'looking' in good condition, and actually being in good condition are two completely different things...

Mine look better than that, and are not perfect. A warp of 0.003" is noticeable when braking, but invisible to the naked eye, or even some crappy dial indicators...

I bought a pair off ebay for $80 from a guy parting out his VFR. They miked out good and were straight. No problems. For $80 I'd take a chance on them. If they turned out to be crap I probably would have chucked them in the trash rather than take the time and effort to return them.

Keep an eye on ebay, or any of the VFR boards; they pop up fairly regularly. If you have time to wait you can get them for a reasonable price.
