It must - and I would love to know where it is! Just got mine last week and have been looking for directions to remove tank. I assume it is in the tank or on the line between the fuel pump. Looked everywhere online and no one stock them.

I am not so sure they do. IIRC Goldwings did not have a fuel filter when they left the factory - and I think many owners promptly decided to install aftermarket in-line filters just in case they ended up with some grotty fuel.

I suspect this may be another Bean counter decision - x thousand motorbikes x 3? dollars per filter = bigger profit. If bad fuel actually causes issues - then its inherently the fuel suppliers fault - and it also means their dealers will get some additional paid for workshop hours sorting out any resulting problems.

If you want to check - nothing shows up on the official schematics -

Thanks and wow that is maddening - no filter? Pulling tank Sunday, before I assume its a 3/8" line and grab an in-line filter I will peek and then run to parts store. Thanks again, Chris

Won't there be a tea-bag strainer on the pump inlet? I thought all FI bikes had that.

Most modern FI systems don't use inline filters as others have mentioned. At most you'll have some type of strainer filter attached to the pump. Keep in mind anything you add after the pump would have to be able to handle the fuel system pressure. Personally I think Honda's engineers did their homework. I'd leave the system as is, but thats your call.

I have a sometimes bog in lower gears, not consistent so hoped it was just a filter issue. Thanks
