The wife and I headed into the mountains of western Quebec to stay with some friends, also was the perfect excuse for a ride. We turned a 3 hr return trip into 14 hrs of exploring back roads and enjoying some corners and great scenery. The wife's ride. I made the mistake of letting Claudine try the VFR a couple of times. Have a feeling we might be fighting over it a bit in the near future. It's easy to take for granted what a great bike they are until you straddle something else again. I love this bike especially when you get it on the type of roads it was made for. My wife was a trooper, always waving me by when the road got nice. The fairly new PP2 ct's were great, I'm not going back to the PR3's, they only gave me 5000 miles anyway and the grip is quite noticeably better with these. I'm gonna ask a stupid question even though the wrath of BB could scar me for the second half of my life. I do enjoy leaning like I'm sure most do and have read a bit on the topic but have never had any coaching. I'm quit comfortable getting off the bike a bit and feeling the pressure with the outside knee and inside foot, the issue is I've been increasingly wearing through the toes of my boots. I have the pegs under the balls of my feet, should it be more towards the toes or is this just normal? I'm just starting to come to terms with going through tires often I don't want to add boots to the bill. I'm hoping it's just some bad habits/foot position from my dirt bike past. Would appreciate some guidance.
Glad you and the wife able to ride together and have some quality time together  Your title got me to read the post but disappointed We need more details and pictures of your RR
Sorry Scub, hit a wrong button and pre posted, I've added pic's but the G ones the R's are burnt into my memory.
Don't know much about i phones but if you post your pix to your desk top, you can then rotate them with a photo editing program and re post them here. When I said to the wife I wanted a quickie, she sent be to Hastings and Main Vancouver. She told me to call when I was coming home.
Rob, I'm completely confused as to how you could wear the top of your boot. Perhaps you could demonstrate the body position you are using to accomplish this. It's like you are drooping the front of the boot straight down or something which is a great way to break your foot if you were to snag it on something. :hss: I ride on my toes with the inside boot tucked against frame.
Balls of your feet, not the tip of the toe. And you can rotate pictures even with windows explorer, just open the folder that the image is in, right-click on the image, and select ROTATE CLOCKWISE or ROTATE COUNTER CLOCKWISE. (Win7) No photo editing software needed.
That makes sense, I'm more over my balls of my feet, and pretty sure more towards the outside of the pegs. That would put my toes lower in a turn, I'll try that before I start looking like Freddie Flintstone. Thanks Jethro
You need toe-sliders with your boots, not to be confused with toe-cutter, which is in a completely different class. I opened the titled forum thing "quickie with the wife." and was dissapointed to not even see a human being, let alone a woman! What a gyp! Incuring the wrath of BB could be troubling ; ) dont worry, be happy...
